The thematic tour offered by the library for the Day of the Dead.

Death as a moment of passage to another life, to another world, sometimes better. This is the way some cultures and religions try to exorcise the death. An inaccessible world to the living, that try to come in contact with it, even if only through the memory of ones who are no longer here.
However, once a year, a small door opens and the souls of the dead return to thank their loved ones for the gifts: on the Day of the Dead, when flowers, candles, food and drink are offered on the tombs and home altars. Colors, fragrances, music and wearing masks try to dampen a feeling of pain, lack and fear of a common destiny.
From 20 of October to 2 of November we celebrate the dead through a tour between different cultures, in which religion, myth and popular beliefs mix and contaminate each other to create a dark and fun universe, to remember who we loved with
cheerful nostalgia.
